Softball Game Preview: Milford Eagles vs. Anderson Raptors

Milford is a perfect 10-0 against Anderson since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Raptors at 5:00 p.m. Milford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Milford was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Anderson on Friday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Raptors with a sharp 11-1 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Milford got a massive performance out of Ella Stein, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Stein a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maddie Varner, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Milford hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Milford's record is now 13-9. As for Anderson, their record now sits at 6-8.
