Soccer Game Preview: Melrose vs. Raleigh-Egypt

The Melrose Golden Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Melrose's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Melrose's offense. They came up short against Kirby two weeks ago, falling 9-0. That's two games in a row now that Melrose have lost by exactly nine goals.

Melrose got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Raleigh-Egypt by a conclusive 8-1 score. In that contest, the Golden Wildcats amassed a halftime lead of 6-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
