Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monroe). Their defense stepped up to hand the Lincoln Railsplitters a 15-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering Monroe have won six matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Monroe pushed their record up to 6-5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 40 goals over those four contests. As for Lincoln, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monroe will challenge Huron at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincoln, they will take on Bedford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
