Basketball Recap: Morton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Smyer last Friday, Morton came back down to earth. The Morton Indians lost to the Plains Cowboys on the road by a 69-54 margin on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Cowboys: they've now lost four in a row.

Morton now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Plains, they pushed their record up to 23-2 with the win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season.

Morton will host Sundown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Plains, they will square off against Whiteface at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Plains knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Whiteface likes a good challenge.
