Baseball Game Preview: Skyview Wolverines vs. Northglenn Norsemen

The Skyview Wolverines will head out to challenge the Northglenn Norsemen at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Skyview fell victim to Longmont and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 10-0. The Wolverines have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Meanwhile, Northglenn had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over Thornton on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Norsemen as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Bryan Acosta looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alonso Sandoval, who scored four runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Alfonso Cervantes was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.
