Baseball Recap: Inter-Lakes Takes a Loss

Gilford hit Inter-Lakes with a seven-run first inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lakers lost 14-4 to the Golden Eagles. The Lakers have struggled against the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Inter-Lakes saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiernan Donnelly, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. Donnelly is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Inter-Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Gilford, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
