Basketball Game Preview: Frazier Commodores vs. Carmichaels Mighty Mikes

Frazier and Carmichaels are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2021, but not for long. The Commodores will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Mighty Mikes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Frazier has given up an average of 52 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Tuesday, Frazier came up short against Avella and fell 56-48.

Despite the loss, Frazier got top-tier performance from Allie Yauch, who posted 25 points. Yauch continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Malana Burton, who earned nine points.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 56 points the game before, Carmichaels was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They took a blow against Waynesburg Central, falling 64-9. The Mighty Mikes haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Frazier will have to contain Joselyn Carter as she made an impact in Carmichaels' last game. She scored five points.

Frazier's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Carmichaels, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-3.

Frazier strolled past Carmichaels when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 47-31. Do the Commodores have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mighty Mikes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
