Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Dexter

Dexter proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 15) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bangor Christian Patriots, sneaking past 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since June 12, 2025.

Noah Kain was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Gabe Cupero, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

The victory (which was Dexter's third in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Bangor Christian, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Dexter will square off against Orono at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bangor Christian, they will head out to square off against Central at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
