It was a good run, but Johnsburg unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell to the Woodstock North Thunder 40-35. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Skyhawks came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while the Thunder are ranked 510th).

Johnsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Woodstock North, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-15.

Johnsburg will head out to square off against Marengo at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Marengo has won four straight at home, while Johnsburg won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Woodstock North, they will welcome Harvard at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Harvard will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Woodstock North surely won't give up without a fight.
