It was a good run, but Palm Desert unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against the Xavier Prep Saints, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-13, 25-9.

Xavier Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Arianna Padilla, who had 18 digs and five assists. That's the most assists Padilla has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubree Burrell, who had seven digs and five aces.

Palm Desert's loss dropped their record down to 23-8. As for Xavier Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-5 record this season.
