Baseball Recap: Chaminade-Madonna Snags 18th Win in Last 19 Games

Chaminade-Madonna extended their postseason success on Thursday against NSU University. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Sharks a 1-0 shutout. The game was the first time the Lions have beaten the Sharks on their field since March 7, 2019.

Santi Arismendi looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Chaminade-Madonna's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was John Scott Bishop, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Chaminade-Madonna has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for NSU University, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 23-4.

As of now, neither Chaminade-Madonna nor the Sharks have any future games scheduled.
