Basketball Recap: White Plains Takes a Loss

White Plains was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 82-58 to the Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Goldbacks from their previous meeting back in December of 2018.

White Plains' defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Newburgh Free Academy, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

White Plains and Newburgh Free Academy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. White Plains (ranked 471st) will meet Greeley (ranked 192nd) at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Newburgh Free Academy will challenge New Paltz at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday down 173 places (243 vs. 70).
