Basketball Game Preview: James Island Trojans vs. Keenan Raiders

The James Island Trojans will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the Keenan Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, James Island was able to grind out a solid victory over Atlantic Collegiate Academy, taking the game 59-48. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

James Island's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Matthew Gladden led the charge by dropping a double-double with 12 points and 14 boards. Those 14 rebounds gave Gladden a new career-high. Joshua Gladden was another key player, shooting 55% from the field en route to 14 points.

Keenan not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 18th (when they won 62-23). Everything went their way against Fairfield Central as they made off with a 59-36 win. With the Raiders ahead 38-18 at the half, the game was all but over already.

James Island's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Keenan, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
