Baseball Recap: Homer Has No Trouble Against Addison

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Quincy, Homer was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Addison Panthers. The contest marked the Trojans' most dominant victory of the season.

Homer let Xander Dubois and Austin Nantz run wild. Dubois got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Nantz went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Dubois has become a key player for Homer: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Dale Hitz, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.

Homer always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2025.

Homer moved to 5-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Addison, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
