Baseball Recap: Harmony Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

Harmony entered their tilt with Melbourne on Monday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They beat the Bulldogs by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 7-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Longhorns also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Ismael Rivera looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Nate O'Neill was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Westin Thompson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Harmony's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Melbourne, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-7.

Coming up, Harmony will welcome Melbourne Central Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Longhorns 3.9, the Hustlers 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Melbourne, they will challenge Astronaut at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
