Oconee County piles up the points against Franklin County

Recap: Oconee County Warriors vs. Franklin County Lions

There's no place like home for the Oconee County Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Franklin County 42-7 at home. Given Oconee County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while Franklin County is ranked 373rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oconee County found their leader in underclassman Caiden Wood, who rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Mac Ricks, who rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown.

Oconee County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.0 points per game. As for Franklin County, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Oconee County will be playing in front of their home fans against Douglas County at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. Franklin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
