Volleyball Recap: Waupun's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Waupun barely beat Lakeside Lutheran the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Waupun blew past Lakeside Lutheran 3-0 on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for Waupun, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Waupun never let Lakeside Lutheran on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-23, 25-17.

Waupun's offense was headlined by Ava Vande Zande and Jaelyn Landaal, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Alexis Babiash and her 13 assists. Vande Zande also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Mikki Borchardt, each putting up four.

Waupun's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Lakeside Lutheran, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-19 record this season.
