Baseball Recap: Yazoo City Has No Trouble Against Gentry

Yazoo City won the last time they faced Gentry and things went their way on Friday too. The Indians blew past the Rams 16-1.

Anarjai Mitchell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Mitchell was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Melvin Robinson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing seven bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those seven stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Jeremy McCoy was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Yazoo City's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Gentry, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-10.
