The Delaware Academy Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Walton Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Delaware Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 14.4 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Delaware Academy came up short against Afton and fell 14-9. The loss was the Bulldogs' first of the season.

Leah Dennis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Young, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Walton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 19-18 heartbreaker at the hands of South Kortright Central. On the bright side, the 18- run effort marked the Warriors' highest-scoring contest to date.

Walton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Delaware Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Everything went Delaware Academy's way against Walton in their previous matchup on April 2nd, as Delaware Academy made off with an 18-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
