Football Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends Lewisville's Winning Streak + How To Watch

Lewisville dropped down to 6-4 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They took a 20-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lamar Silver Foxes. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Silver Foxes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Lewisville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Devaughn Garica, Zy Davis, and Jordan Strong picked up one apiece. Strong also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 16. Jay'Sean Culp was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 16 total tackles (4.0 for loss).

As for Lamar, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.9 points over those games.

Lamar got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zori Pierce out in front who rushed for 113 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Nygel Eaddy, who rushed for 112 yards and one score.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lewisville will welcome Whitmire at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Wolverines' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lamar, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Calhoun Falls Charter at 7:30 p.m. The Silver Foxes will be up against the Blue Flashes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
