Basketball Recap: Winston County Takes a Loss

Winston County lost against Cold Springs back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Winston County Yellowjackets took a 52-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cold Springs Eagles.

Winston County dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Cold Springs, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-10.

Winston County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 59-22 victory against Brilliant on the 20th. As for Cold Springs, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Appalachian at 4:00 p.m. on December 30th.
