Baseball Game Preview: Derry Trojans vs. Highlands Golden Rams

For the second straight game, Derry will face off against Highlands. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Golden Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Derry's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over Highlands. The game was the first time the Trojans have beaten the Golden Rams on their field since May 3, 2017.

For Highlands' part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kristian Kocon, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Highlands has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Derry, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
