New Kent has gone 8-2 against York recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Wednesday. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons  at 4:30  p.m. New Kent is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2  runs per game  this season.
New Kent took a loss when they played away from home  on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Grafton  2-1.  On the hitting side, New Kent's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Andrew Staskiel, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  RBI.
 Meanwhile,  it was a Battle of the Birds when York took on Jamestown on Friday. The Falcons fell just short of the Eagles by a score of  4-3. Falcons fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Eagles since  on Friday.
 New Kent's victory was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 10-2. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for York, they now  have a losing record of 5-6.
