Volleyball Recap: Bloomington North Takes a Loss

Bloomington North lost against Silver Creek back in October of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cougars fell 2-0 to the Dragons. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Their offense was headlined by Emma Rice and Bayleigh Moore, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Jenna Newby and her five assists.

Silver Creek was led to victory by Mia Ferrell and Dannah Kerberg. Ferrell had four aces and three digs, while Kerberg had six digs and three assists. That's the most aces Ferrell has posted since back in September.

Bloomington North's loss dropped their record down to 9-19. As for Silver Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-10 record this season.

Bloomington North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Evansville North on the 11th. As for Silver Creek, they will square off against Brownstown Central at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
