Volleyball Recap: Burney Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Burney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Los Molinos Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Burney was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Los Molinos work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-23, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Burney still got an impressive performance from Ciera Wilson, who had 42 digs and two assists. Wilson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 22 or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aimee Hampton, who had 13 digs and two aces.

Burney's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Los Molinos, their win ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 8-19.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Burney is set to challenge their familiar foe Redding Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Los Molinos will face off against rival Chester at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
