Basketball Game Preview: Carroll Tigers vs. Winterset Huskies

The Carroll Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Winterset Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Carroll came up short against Boone and fell 65-55. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Winterset was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 67-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Polk. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Comets are ranked 64th).

Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Winterset, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Carroll came up short against Winterset in their previous meeting back in January, falling 63-58. Can Carroll avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
