Softball Recap: Owen County Rebels vs. Beechwood Tigers
Owen County can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They blew past the Beechwood Tigers 16-5.
Andie Baumann was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Abigayle Dempsey, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Shaylee Glacken, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
