Calvary Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Calvary Christian Academy of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Riley O'Brien put in work no matter where he played. He pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. O'Brien is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
