Softball Recap: Black River Comes Up Short

Black River fell victim to Triway and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 1-0. The Pirates' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Black River saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madelyne Stief, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Black River's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Triway, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Titans beat Black River by a score of 11-0 later that day.
