Baseball Recap: Payette Takes a Loss

Payette lost to Fruitland on April 8th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Pirates fell 11-6 to the Grizzlies.

Jahzyon Sylva made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Michael O'Campo, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Payette's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Fruitland, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-2-1.

Payette does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fruitland, they will host Homedale at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Grizzlies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
