Baseball Recap: Sunnyside Takes a Loss

Sunnyside started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Catalina Foothills. They lost 11-1 to the Falcons on Wednesday. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Sunnyside saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JORGE RUIZ, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Sunnyside's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Catalina Foothills, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Sunnyside wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 14-6 defeat against Buena on the 21st. As for Catalina Foothills, they have also already played their next game, a 5-1 win against Desert View on the 20th.
