Basketball Recap: Pine Tree Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pine Tree can now relate to. They lost 56-32 to the Mabank Panthers on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 521st, while the Panthers are ranked 132nd).

Pine Tree's defeat dropped their record down to 20-10. As for Mabank, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 28-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Pine Tree nor Mabank have any future games scheduled.
