Basketball Recap: Chisholm Trail Academy Snags 11th Victory in Last 13 Games

Chisholm Trail Academy had won three straight games and Jadon Henderson did his part to make it four on Saturday. The Chisholm Trail Academy Blazers came out on top against Macedonian Christian by a score of 52-45 thanks in part to Henderson, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Weaver, who posted six points and 14 rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Macedonian Christian still got an impressive performance from Ethan Gonzalez, who had 21 points. Another player making a difference was Romeo Garza, who scored ten points.

Chisholm Trail Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Macedonian Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 20-11.

Chisholm Trail Academy will be playing at home against Dallas International at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. The timing is sure in Chisholm Trail Academy's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home while Dallas International has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Macedonian Christian has already played their next contest, a 65-33 victory against Presbyterian Pan American on the 27th.
