Baseball Game Preview: Texas City Stingarees vs. Lutheran South Academy Pioneers

The Texas City Stingarees will venture away from home to challenge the Lutheran South Academy Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Texas City fell victim to Clear Brook and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines. That's two games in a row now that the Stingarees have lost by exactly three runs.

Meanwhile, Lutheran South Academy beat St. Thomas Catholic 8-3 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pioneers.

This is the second loss in a row for Texas City and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Lutheran South Academy, their win bumped their record up to 11-1-1.

Texas City came up short against Lutheran South Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2022, falling 4-1. Can Texas City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
