Softball Recap: Palmer Comes Up Short

Palmer and Troy squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Palmer had to settle for second. They lost 13-5 to the Trojans. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost six in a row.

Palmer's loss dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Troy, they moved to 12-17-1 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Trojans beat Palmer by a score of 18-1 later that day.
