Monta Vista lost against Los Gatos two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Matadors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Matadors' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Monta Vista couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Los Gatos a tough time in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 30-28, 25-20, 24-26, 25-9.

Monta Vista's loss dropped their record down to 22-12. As for Los Gatos, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Monta Vista nor Los Gatos have any future games scheduled.
