Volleyball Recap: Lexi Brasel Key Part of Team Effort in Blue Jays Win

While Liberty's victory against North Kansas City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Jays narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Hornets 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Jays in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won six in a row.

Liberty was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 22-25, 22-25, 26-24, 15-5.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Liberty to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lexi Brasel, who had 21 assists and 12 digs. That's the most digs Brasel has posted over her last 11 matchups. Another player making a difference was Brooke Roseberry, who had nine digs and two aces.

Liberty was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They are 6-2 when they serve at least ten aces.
