Basketball Recap: Jamaire Grant Key Part of a Team Effort in Rams Win

Rogers proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 32) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 64-61 victory over the Curtis Vikings. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Rogers' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamaire Grant, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. Grant's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Treyshawn Weatherspoon, who posted 15 points and five boards.

Rogers smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Rogers' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.7 points over those games. As for Curtis, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.

As of now, neither Rogers nor Curtis have any future games scheduled.
