Preview: New Bloomfield Wildcats vs. South Callaway Bulldogs
The New Bloomfield Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the South Callaway Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully New Bloomfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Monday.
Even though Belle scored an imposing 62 points, New Bloomfield still came out on top. New Bloomfield skirted past Belle 64-62. The victory was familiar territory for New Bloomfield who now have three in a row.
New Bloomfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Wyatt Jordan out in front who scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Fuhriman, who scored 13 points along with 6 assists and 3 steals.
Meanwhile, South Callaway pushed their score all the way to 68 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a rough 88-68 defeat at the hands of Fatima. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for South Callaway in their matchups with Fatima: they've now lost five in a row.
Their wins bumped New Bloomfield to 3-4 and Belle to 1-1.
New Bloomfield took a serious blow against South Callaway in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 81-34. Can New Bloomfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
