Football Recap: Eden Comes Up Short

If Eden was riding high fresh off their 64-14 takedown of Lometa last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs were dealt a 74-29 defeat at the hands of the Fannindel Falcons on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered since September 13, 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Eden fell to 3-1. As for Fannindel, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eden will welcome Bronte at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Fannindel, they will challenge Garland Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will be up against the Swordsmen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 43 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
