Baseball Recap: Monterey Takes Down Lincoln in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Monterey rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top against the Lincoln Lions by a score of 6-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dores.

The team relied heavily on Gino Grammatico, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Evan Takehara, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Monterey's victory bumped their record up to 11-17. As for Lincoln, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 22-6 record.

As of now, neither Monterey nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
