Football Recap: Amplus Academy Comes Up Short

Amplus Academy fell victim to Pinecrest Academy Cadence and their airtight defense on Monday. They were dealt a 34-0 defeat at the hands of the Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars. The Archers just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

A big part of Pinecrest Academy Cadence's victory came down to the chemistry between Leyton Gasperosky and her top target Patricia Monacelli. Gasperosky threw for 193 yards and five touchdowns while completing 71.4% of her passes while Monacelli picked up 117 receiving yards and three touchdowns. That's the most passing touchdowns Gasperosky has posted since back in December of 2024.

Amplus Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Pinecrest Academy Cadence, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Amplus Academy has already played their next match, a 28-18 victory against Desert Pines on the 22nd. As for Pinecrest Academy Cadence, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 32-25 loss against Legacy on the 23rd.
