Carter barely beat Cocke County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Green Hornets blew past the Fighting Cocks 5-2 on Monday. Surprisingly, this marked Carter's fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

They hit Cocke County with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Suzannah Mae Anderson (2), Jaiden Davis, Kyleanne Andrews, and Laci Roach.

The victory got Carter back to even at 1-1. As for Cocke County, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Carter didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-2 draw against Gibbs on the 26th. As for Cocke County, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Austin-East at 6:00 p.m. on September 9.
