Soccer Recap: Lowry Comes Up Short

Lowry lost against Elko on October 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Buckaroos took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. Callie Paulsen was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on her (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Lowry's goal came courtesy of Maite Avalos, who's now up to 12 this season.

Lowry's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-3. As for Elko, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-5-1 record this season.

Lowry and Elko are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Buckaroos will face off against North Tahoe at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Elko, they will take on Wooster at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
