Christoval is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Eldorado is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Cougars will welcome the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Christoval's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
Christoval's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Sonora 11-0. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by ten runs or more this season.
Slayden Cross made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cross was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
In other pitching news, Hollis Boyer looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Logan Malley was excellent, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty DeBusk, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Christoval always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Eldorado came out on top against Colorado on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Eagles took their matchup against the Wolves 9-5.
The team relied heavily on Jonnie Adame, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Malik Arispe was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Christoval's win bumped their record up to 12-5-1. As for Eldorado, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Christoval has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Eldorado struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Christoval was able to grind out a solid win over Eldorado in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 5-0. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
