Football Recap: University Starts Season with Win at Home + How To Watch

University gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took down the Banning Lewis Academy Stallions 28-13. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

University's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Baker, who picked up 54 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Max Davis was another key signal caller, throwing for 177 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.1% of his passes.

When it comes to explaining why Banning Lewis Academy lost, don't look at Sam Early. Despite the final result, he rushed for 88 yards on only 11 carries, and also threw for 119 yards and one TD. Jordan Jones was in the mix as well, providing the Stallions with two scores.

Looking ahead, University will challenge Brush at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Banning Lewis Academy, they will take on Alamosa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
