Baseball Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Lakeland and Antigo had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Thunderbirds fell 6-3 to the Red Robins on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Thunderbirds in their meetings with the Red Robins: they've now lost four in a row.

Lakeland's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Antigo, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lakeland is set to face off against their familiar foe Northland Pines at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Antigo will challenge rival Rhinelander at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
