Basketball Recap: Wright City Comes Up Short

Wright City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt an 84-21 defeat at the hands of the Montgomery County Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Wright City this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 77-19 back in December of 2024.

Wright City's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Montgomery County, their victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Wright City Wildcats take on the Mark Twain Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Montgomery County, they will be playing at home against St. James at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Montgomery County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
