Basketball Game Preview: Rancho Verde Mustangs vs. Branson Bulls

The Rancho Verde Mustangs and the Branson Bulls will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Rancho Verde turned things around against Silverado on Saturday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 64-50 win over the Skyhawks.

Meanwhile, Branson lost to Francis Parker on the road by a 73-56 margin on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bulls came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Lancers are ranked 331st).

Branson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Rancho Verde, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.
