High school football rankings: Londonderry finishes No. 1 in final New Hampshire MaxPreps Top 25

Lancers capture second Division I state title in three seasons.

The high school football season in New Hampshire came to a close over the weekend. Londonderry was among the victors, beating Winnacunnet (Hampton) 24-14 in the Division I state championship game. That helped propel the Lancers to the No. 1 ranking in the final New Hampshire MaxPreps Top 25.

Londonderry (11-1) won its second Division I state title in three seasons and eighth in program history dating back to 1985. The Lancers have won 26 of their last 30 outings going back to 2019.

Unbeaten Division II state champion Timberlane (Plaistow) finished No. 2 in the rankings. The Owls were a dominant defensive team, allowing just 9.1 points per game this season.
